Client Mods
Rotwood does not have official mod support at this time.
Because there is no official mod support at this time, players who run into an issue with the game while using or after having ever used unsupported client modifications will need to return the game to a trusted state, possibly resulting in a loss of game progress and we will not be able to assist you or utilize your logs or bug reports for issue tracking.
Using unsupported client modifications is not recommended. Modifying the game in any way at this time is at your own risk and may result in loss of progress and our ability to assist you.
Also be aware that Client Mods may corrupt your save file and if the issue persists, you may also need to start a new save to resolve your issue.
If you encounter any issues while playing with or after having used unsupported client modifications, you will need to remove all Rotwood game files, including all traces of client modification files from your game, to return the game to a trusted state.
You can do so by following the instructions below.
- Right-click Rotwood in your Steam Library > Choose "Properties";
- In the “Properties Window”, select the "Installed Files" tab;
- Click "Browse..." to open a Windows Explorer window (\steamapps\common\Rotwood\) to your game installation directory;
- Delete the following folders and zipped files ("bin", "data", "data.zip", "data_scripts.zip") located within the \steamapps\common\Rotwood\ game installation directory;
(See image below for reference) - Back in the "Installed Files" Steam window, click the "Verify integrity of game files" button;
- When the process is complete, launch Rotwood.
Is Rotwood going to support mods in the future?
Mod support and language options are also very important to us, so we expect to have workshop support and additional supported languages by launch or shortly after that.
